Can you help me? I am in a training where we are studying the Injil and the Qur’an, can I ask you about two verses in the Qur’an?
Al-Imran 3:54 & 55
“The (Jews) had a plan to kill Isa and Allah had a plan too, but Allah’s plan is the best plan. Allah said, “Oh Isa, I will cause you to die and raise you up to Myself; anyone who believes will be separated from the unbelievers and placed above the unbelievers from now until the Day of Resurrection (Judgement)...”
What do you think this means in your own words?
“I know this story from the Before Books, may I tell it to you?”
How to conduct the lesson:
- Ask them the questions about the verses in the Qur'an and listen to their answers.
- Tease out any questions and answer them as best as you can.
- Ask them the last question about showing them the master plan from the "before books"
- Give them a Starter Bookmark to look at and explain the Bridge Story picture
Explanation of the Bridge:
- Bad news: In the beginning Adam and Hawa were with Allah in paradise. They disobeyed Allah just one time and they were kicked out and separated from Allah and paradise.
- Good news: Allah had a plan to bring mankind back into paradise all along and he paved a road back for us to follow.
- First Allah killed some animals to cover their naked bodies
- Their sons both gave sacrifices of atonement to Allah of grain and animals but only the blood of the animals pleased Allah.
- Ibrahim (Abraham) took his son up to the mountain to kill his son and offer him as a blood sacrifice to Allah, as Allah asked him to do, but Allah spared his son and gave Ibrahim a goat instead to die for his sacrifice.
- Musa (Moses) told the Jews to kill a pure goat or lamb and sprinkle its blood above the door posts and windows of their homes so that the angle of death would pass over and only kill the unbelievers
- Daud (King David) wondered if all this killing of animals was really Allah's full plan or was there more to it? Was Allah preparing something permanent to come?
- Prophet إشعيا, Ašaʿyāʾ (Dhul-Kifl or Isaiah) foretold what Allah was really planning to save us all and bring us to paradise in Isaiah 52:13 - 53:12 written long before Isa was born. Yet it described Isa in such a way that it could be no other.
- Yahya (John the Baptist) then told us directly that the sacrifice that Allah was planning to make once and for all time to cover Adam's first disobedience and for everyone else's to come was Isa. When Yahya baptized him in the river Allah himself announced exactly who Isa was.
- Isa then, faithful and unwavering, went willing to be killed on a cross for all of mankind's wrong doings, so that all that believe in him could be washed clean and please Allah. So pleased, Allah will then let anyone cleaned walk back into paradise to stay with him.
- Will you obey Al-Imran 3:55 and believe in Allah's best plan, will you believe in Isa?
- Do you want to know more about Allah's best plan and how you and your family can greatly please him?
- If the answers are Yes then give them the starter bookmark (Double sided, print 'flip on short side') to keep and make an appointment to study the Qur'an and the Before Books together.
- Get them to practice the Bridge story and ask them if there is any one that they can share this great plan with today?
